The morning of June 17 was the first day of the police academy for 19 men and women wanting to serve with the Kansas City Missouri Police Department. They make up the 182nd Entrant Officer Class.

This group  icludes military veterans, past KCPD interns, and naturalized citizens, who are stepping up for Kansas City.

Chief Stacey Graves addressed them, thanking them for their willingness to serve and welcoming them to a difference-making career.
