Crime In Kansas City Fell Significantly in 2025
The Kanss City Missouri Police Department is sharing statistics for major crime categories. The comparisons are 2025 vs. 2024.
· Homicides fell by 5%. It was the lowest number of homicides since 2018.
· Homicide clearance rate was 75%. The national average is 58%.
· Non-fatal shootings fell by 31%.
· Robberies fell by 27%.
· Property damage fell by 19%.
· Stealing fell by 15%.
· Stolen autos fell by 32%.
“Kansas City is getting safer, as we add more officers while working hand-in-hand with our community and partners,” said Chief Stacey Graves. “The progress is real, and we will continue to work hard every day for Kansas City.”
