Honoring Service: KCPD Celebrates Lifesaving Actions and PAL Support

On July 16, 2025, the Kansas City Missouri Police Department hosted an Awards Ceremony recognizing the outstanding dedication, bravery, and service of our team and community members. A Special Unit Citation was presented to the 2023–2024 Firearms and Toolmarks Section for their expert work in helping solve complex investigations. The event also honored several members with Life-Saving Awards and Certificates of Commendation, celebrating their commitment to protecting and serving our community. KCPD also recognized the incredible contributions of the PAL Board Members with Certificates of Appreciation, highlighting their dedication to the Police Athletic League Center. Their support has provided countless local kids with a safe, supportive space—keeping them away from crime and difficult living conditions. Moments like these remind us how vital it is to celebrate our people and the families and friends who stand behind them.
