KCPD Celebrates Call Takers & Dispatchers

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is held during the second week of April, and KCPD highlighted these first responders for their commitment and service to Kansas City.

As of April 14, KCPD has a total of 56 call takers and dispatchers who are on the phone 24 hours a day,  7 days a week, 365 days a year tending to Kansas City’s needs and emergencies.

They are amazing professionals.

However, KCPD is short 27 call takers and dispatchers. In other words, the telecommunicators at KCPD work incredibly hard to provide great service. Thank you for your service!

Our call takers and dispatchers would love more co-workers, and Kansas City would benefit from them. We have openings.
