KCPD Collects Backpacks For Students

On May 17, South Patrol Division collected enough backpacks to double the amount amassed in 2021. The backpacks will go to students in Martin City K-8 Schools.

The collection happened during a Law Enforcement Appreciation event at the KC Running Company store in Martin City.

KCPD teamed up with the Martin City Community Improvement District and the South Kansas City Chamber.

Residents met police officers and explored police vehicles, including the Mobile DUI Enforcement Center.

May is Law Enforcement Appreciation Month.
