KCPD COVID Update

On Tuesday, March 31, two department members tested positive for the COVID virus, one sworn member and one non-sworn member. We have enacted our procedures, including quarantining those who had direct contact with the members. We are all aware that the key to reducing the spread of the virus is to limit further exposure. The members are home and we look forward to their return to work once the virus runs its course. We are taking precautions with some other members. As of now, we have 16 members in quarantine, but that could change at any time. We, in conjunction with the health department, will investigate if anyone was exposed to the members that tested positive.
