Beginning Oct. 11, the Kansas City Missouri Police Department hosted a series of community engagement events as part of Faith and Blue weekend.
Faith and Blue works to create safer and stronger communities by engaging officers with residents through the connections of faith-based organizations.
KCPD's events began with a prayer breakfast at the Colonial Presbyterian Church, included a blood drive, a community walk, and a tailgate. There is a pumpkin paining event scheduled at the Northland Salvation Army at 4 p.m. on Oct. 14.
