Images of the 185th Entrant Officer Class

The 185th Entrant Officer Class began the police academy on May 5, with 42 men and women. The class size makes it the largest since 2019.

It is the first time that KCPD has had back-to-back class sizes of more than 40 recruits since 2007, as momentum for hiring more officers continues to grow. January's 184th Entrant Officer Class had 41 recruits.

Veterans thrive at KCPD, and in this class they make up more than 20% of the recruits.

KCPD is the largest law enforcement agency in Missouri and Kansas, offering the most specialized units and career choices.
