The Kansas City Missouri Police Department, working with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, cracked down on drivers and spectators who threatened public safety on Kansas City’s streets on Nov. 14 and overnight.
KCPD arrested five people, issued 38 hazardous moving violations, broke up a sideshow in-the-making, and towed nine vehicles, including those that blocked traffic/spectated at the sideshow. Examples of some crimes included: pointing weapons at other vehicles, driving in the opposite direction of traffic, running red lights, and performing illegal stunts. KCPD's efforts continue.
In Missouri, penalties now escalate with repeated offenses pertaining to sideshows, street racing, etc.
