Officers Honored at 54th Annual Awards For Valor

Eighteen KCPD officers received recognition for their heroic acts at the 54^th annual Metropolitan Chiefs and Sheriffs Association Awards for Valor ceremony on Nov. 13 at the Argosy Casino in Riverside, Mo.

Their courageous acts included saving a carjacked delivery driver who had been taken hostage, stopping an active armed shooter in downtown, and saving the lives of people critically injured or having medical emergencies.
