Police conduct free active shooter response training for houses of worship
Publish Date 06/03/2019
The Kansas City Missouri Police Department is conducting free active shooter response training for leaders of houses of worship throughout Kansas City. The first event is for Northland church leaders June 3. See subsequent dates and locations and how to register in the events section or on the flier.
Tactical operation supervisors will discuss emergency preparedness and response plans, security and risk assessments and immediate actions to take during a shooting.
Churches have unfortunately been the targets of active shooters. KCPD hopes to help everyone who wishes to worship to have a safe environment to do so.
