Traffic Officers Enforce Against School Zone Speeding

With the start of the new school year this week, officers from KCPD’s Traffic Unit have been specifically looking for speeders in school zones.

On Wednesday, Aug. 20, for example, these offices issued:

·     136 hazardous moving citations/warnings in school zones.

·      53 hazardous moving citations/warnings in other areas

·      54 citations/warnings for other violations

They recorded top speeds of 63, 57, and 52 mph.

This enforcement continues.
