Below are the votes from the closed session of the Board of Police Commissioners meeting on April 17, 2017. The Board met by telephone conference beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Following a motion by Commissioner Rader and a second by Commissioner Brooks, the Board voted to go into closed session to discuss personnel matters. The vote was 5-0 in favor. Following polling, Mayor James voted Aye, Commissioner Rader voted Aye, Commissioner Wasson-Hunt voted Aye, Commissioner Brooks voted Aye, and Commissioner Shurin voted Aye.

Following a motion by Commissioner Rader and a second by Commissioner Wasson-Hunt, the Board voted to retain Ralph Andersen & Associates to provide executive search services for the position of Chief of Police. The vote was 5-0 in favor. Following polling, Mayor James voted Aye, Commissioner Rader voted Aye, Commissioner Wasson-Hunt voted Aye, Commissioner Brooks voted Aye, and Commissioner Shurin voted Aye.

Following a motion by Commissioner Brooks and a second by Commissioner Wasson-Hunt, the Board voted to come out of special closed session and adjourn. The vote was 5-0 in favor. Following polling, Mayor James voted Aye, Commissioner Rader voted Aye, Commissioner Wasson-Hunt voted Aye, Commissioner Brooks voted Aye, and Commissioner Shurin voted Aye.

The Board adjourned at 11:40 p.m.
