Unsolved Homicides
We appreciate witnesses coming forward and providing statements. The Kansas City Missouri Police Department will continue to investigate these and other homicides until the suspects are identified, caught, and the cases are brought to the appropriate prosecutor’s offices. On 12/10/2024, at 1653 hours, officers were dispatched to 148 N Lawn Ave on a reported Shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the male victim in the hallway of the apartment complex suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. EMS was notified and responded to the scene. The male victim was transported to a local hospital where he was evaluated. Several spent shell casings were recovered from the apartment complex. On 12/26/2024, we received word from KC Hospice (staff) that the male victim succumbed to his injuries.
On 10-24-2024 at 2015 hours, officers were dispatched to E 34th Street and Garfield Avenue on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim in the driver’s seat of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to a hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Several spent casings were located within the crime scene.
On 07-04-2024 at 1456 hours, officers were dispatched to 2244 E 69th Ter. on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim lying on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. Several spent casings were located near the victim.
On 06/30/2024 at 2140 hours, officers were dispatched to 51st St/Park Ave on a reported Shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 2008 Hyundai Accent near the intersection of 51st & Park with a female victim driver suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. EMS responded and confirmed the victim on scene. Several spent shell casings were located and recovered from the intersection.
On 05/16/2024 at approximately 1833 hours, Patrol Officers were dispatched to Town Creek Fork Park (5701 Agnes Avenue) in regard to a shooting.
Upon arrival Officers located a teenage black male victim suffering from several apparent gunshot wounds.
KCFD Paramedics declared the party deceased at 1845 hours.
On 03/22/2024, at 0808 hours, officers were dispatched to 3811 E 67th Street on a reported Shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim in the driveway of the Freeway Market, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. EMS responded and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Several spent shell casings were located and recovered from a nearby bus stop on Cleveland Ave and a second cluster of spent shell casings were recovered from a grassy area opposite of the bus stop.
On 01-20-2024 at 0024 hours, Officers responded to 10721 Marsh Ave. on reported sounds of shots. Officers located a male unresponsive, EMS confirmed the victim deceased on scene. Several bullet casings were located in the surrounding parking lot and near the victim.
On 11/16/2023, at 2122 hours, officers were dispatched to 4201 Sterling Ave on a reported Shooting. Upon arrival, officers located two male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One male victim was found directly behind an AT&T store and the other was found in a vehicle that had been driven through the parking lot and ended up wrecked in a grassy ditch. It was later determined the second male victim was shot while waiting for the first male victim (brother) to re-enter the vehicle after a robbery attempt, that took place inside the AT&T store. Several shell casings were located and recovered from the back room of the AT&T business.
On 11-15-2023 at 0257 hours, Officers responded to 1010 Broadway Blvd. on a reported disturbance with a weapon. Officers located a male laying on the ground unresponsive, EMS confirmed the victim deceased on scene. During the investigation video evidence revealed a dark colored SUV appear to fire at the victim and drive south on Broadway Blvd. after the incident.
On 08-01-2023 at 0310 hours, Officers responded to 6026 Indiana Ave. on a reported shooting. Officers located a male inside the residence with apparent trauma, EMS confirmed the victim deceased on scene. Several bullet casings were located in the street in front of the residence. Multiple apparent bullet holes were observed into the residence where the victim was located.
