Unsolved Homicides
We appreciate witnesses coming forward and providing statements. The Kansas City Missouri Police Department will continue to investigate these and other homicides until the suspects are identified, caught, and the cases are brought to the appropriate prosecutor’s offices. Shannon Milligan B/M 1-6-78
Occurred: 12/23/12, 2307 E. 41st
Officers were dispatched to the address on a shooting. Upon arrival they found the victim lying
on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital
where he died from his injuries.

Carl A. Jones B/M 06/28/61
Occurred: 12/14/12, 3310 Moulton
The Kansas City Missouri Fire Department responded to a residence fire at the listed location.
Upon putting out the fire, they found the victim deceased inside the home.
The Jackson County Medical Examiner ruled the victim’s death a murder.

Michael Simpson B/M 01-15-1980
Discovered: 11-04-2012 at 0750 hours at 3032 Flora
On 11-03-2012 at approximately 2000 hours, gunshots were heard coming from the
area of 3029 Paseo. On 11-04-2012 at 0750 hours, the victim was discovered deceased
behind 3032 Flora. The victim had been shot to death.

David M. Lablance B/M 11-21-85
Occurred on 10-30-2012 @ 2014 hours under the I-35 Bridge 20th street.
Officers were dispatched on a reported shooting and upon arrival discovered the victim deceased
from apparent gunshot wound(s). Residents in the area reported hearing sounds of shots prior to
officers finding the victim.

Jamonte Conaway B/M 06/25/93
Officers were dispatched to the address on a shooting. Upon arrival they found the victim deceased
on the sidewalk. No known motive has been developed.

Dontae Winn B/M 09/13/97
Occurred: 10/17/12, 2009 Park Tower Dr.
Officers were dispatched to the address on a shooting. Upon arrival they found the victim deceased
inside his residence. No known motive has been developed.

Randy A. Anderson W/M 10-22-1967
Officers responded to 11076 Greenwood Drive in regard to a dead body. Upon arrival, the
victim was located inside the residence deceased. It was later determined the victim died from
a gunshot wound.

Krystal Robinson B/F 4-22-90
On 09-29-2012, Officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the
area of 18th and Campbell. When Officers stopped the vehicle they were advised that
Krystal Robinson was shot. Krystal was transported to an area hospital where she died
from an apparent gunshot wound. It was determined that the shooting originally occurred
at the intersection of Linwood and Van Brunt.

Michole D. Toombs B/M 10-26-1983
On September 26, 2012, at 6:08 p.m., officers of the Kansas City Missouri Police Department responded
to 5841 Wabash in regard to a shooting call. Toombs was found lying deceased on the front porch of the
residence, having sustained gunshot wounds.

MAURICE S. LANDIS II B/M 2-19-92
On Saturday 9-22-2012 at about 3:24 in the afternoon, this truck arrived at the
parking lot of Research Medical Center, Brookside Campus, 6601 Rockhill Rd.
Officers responded and found that the victim, Maurice Landis was a passenger in
the truck. He was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound.
