Unsolved Homicides

We appreciate witnesses coming forward and providing statements. The Kansas City Missouri Police Department will continue to investigate these and other homicides until the suspects are identified, caught, and the cases are brought to the appropriate prosecutor’s offices. Case Report Number: Y - 09881

On  December 4, 1985, at 10:49 p.m., officers were dispatched to a robbery call at the Pizza Hut located at 7510 E. 87th Street. When they arrived on the scene, the officers found Brett Kreglo lying on the floor of the Pizza Hut’s entry foyer, located just inside the east side of the business. He was pronounced dead.  Mr. Kreglo, who was a customer, had just entered the business when he was shot by one of the robbery suspects.

Case Report Number: 83-0000
Terry was 16 years old when was last seen leaving her residence in the 2600 block of Park on June 24, 1983 at 5:45 p.m. 

After she did not return home, her mother became concerned and started contacting family and friends trying to find anyone that had her.

At 9 a.m. the next morning, June 25, 1983, the victim’s body was discovered near 2000 E. 22nd Street, hidden in the brush of a semi-secluded area not far from her home.

Case Report Number: T - 68506

A couple hunting for crawdads discovered the 26-year-old victim’s body on June 6, 1983, in a ravine near 66th and Paseo. Ms. Jacqueline Davis had no known involvement in criminal activity.She was last seen late in the evening of June 3, 1983, or the early morning hours of June 4, 1983, at a nightclub called The Pink Garter, which was in the area of 39th and Main streets.

Case Report Number: N - 8000

The victim, Darrell Prilliman, a 40-year-old, free-lance pilot, was last seen on April 6, 1980, at a bar inside the Holiday Inn Hotel at I-29 and 291 Highway. The victim responded to the bar to meet a man who wanted to hire him for a job flying parts to oil fields in Oklahoma City. The victim arrived at the bar at approximately 7:30 p.m. and met with an individual who identified himself as Pete Peterson. The victim left the bar with subject Peterson and never returned. Subject Peterson returned to the bar at approximately 9 p.m. dressed in different clothing.

The victim’s body was discovered May 4, 1980, in a partially wooded area at N. 108th and Skyview. The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was involved in a highly contested divorce involving custody of his children. The victim’s wife and mother in-law made threats to harm the him. The victim’s vehicle was discovered abandoned in long-term parking lot “E” at KCI Airport on April 8, 1980. A heavy concentration of blood was found on the passenger-side floor of the vehicle.

Case Report Number: A-574

Allen Ray Thompson was 16 years old on Jan. 2, 1970, and at home with his mother at 3727 Forest. At about 9:45 p.m., two people described as black males in their late teens/early 20s robbed Allen’s mother and shot and killed Allen. Allen attended Westport High School and was involved in the R.O.T.C.
