We appreciate witnesses coming forward and providing statements. The Kansas City Missouri Police Department will continue to investigate these and other homicides until the suspects are identified, caught, and the cases are brought to the appropriate prosecutor’s offices. Justin Powell B/M 12/5/1987
On 6-23-2018 at approximately 0049 hours officers were in the area of Linwood
and Agnes on a shots fired call when an officer observed a black vehicle
southbound on Agnes at Linwood. Officers located a deceased black male in the
rear of 3108 East Linwood, a vacant residence. The suspect(s) fled the scene in an
unknown direction by unknown means.

Brian K. Mitchell B/M 9/25/1973
On 6-13-2018 at approximately 1752 hours Officers were dispatched to 5904 E.
40th Terr. on a reported shooting. At this location the officers were flagged down
by a witness who directed the officers to a party who appeared to be suffering
from a gunshot wound. The subject was declared deceased by medical personnel.

Tevon Hardy B/M 01/22/1993
On 05/27/2018 at 0203 hours Officers with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department were
dispatched to Blue Parkway and Coal Mine Road (4721 Coal Mine Road), in regard to a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers observed a male performing CPR on a victim suffering from apparent
gunshot wounds. Officers then took over performing life saving measures until KCFD EMS
arrived. The victim was transported to Truman Medical Center where he was pronounced
deceased.

Charles Wofford B/M 02-12-1961
Officers were dispatched to 5200 Lawn in regard to EMS enroute. Upon arrival they contacted
the reporting party who stated he had come by to check on the victim like he does everyday
and saw the garage door open. He called out the victim's name but got no answer. He opened
the door from the garage into the house and saw the victim lying motionless on the floor. He
checked his vitals and called 911. It was determined the victim had multiple gunshot wounds.

Donnell Louis B/M 01/19/1996
On 05/25/2018 at 1542 hours, Officers were dispatched to 4616 E. 44th St. on reported sound of
shots. Upon arrival Officers located Donnell Louis sitting in the front seat of his vehicle with an
apparent gunshot wound. Louis was pronounced deceased at the scene. Additional victims
that were in the vehicle with Louis during the shooting, stated a group of black males were
shooting at them at the corner of 44th Terr and Lawn Ave.

Johnathon Porter W/M 10/13/1994
On 4-24-2018 at 0830 hours, Officers were dispatched to 9th and Brooklyn in regard to a shooting. The officers located the victim at the location suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Truman Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

Kylie M. Cubie B/F 12/7/1978
On 4/19/2018 at 0436 hours, officers responded to a call for EMS at 36/Park. Upon arrival
officer observed a black female identified as Kylie Cubie, B/F, 12/7/1978 deceased
on the south sidewalk. The officer observed a significant amount of blood from
the area of the victim's head. EMS arrived and declared the victim deceased.

Taron M. Carson, B/M, 5/12/1993
At 0304 hours, Officers were dispatched to meet Jackson County Deputies on a
shooting at 39 and Main. Upon arrival a black male victim identified as Taron
Carson, BM, 5/12/93, was located near a bench on the southwest corner of the
intersection. He had been shot and later died at a hospital.

Brandon D. Davis B/M, 2/2/1982
On 3/2/2018 at 2203 hours Officers were dispatched to 5116 Paseo in regard to
sound of shots. En route the call was updated to additional shots fired. The
officers were advised soon after arriving about a shooting victim who arrived at
Research Medical Center in the victim’s vehicle, a black BMW driven by the
victim’s cousin. The victim was attended to by medical personnel and later
pronounced deceased.

Lashonda Myers B/F 04/02/1986
On 01/24/2018 at 2004 hours officers were dispatched to 2312 Monroe
Ave. in regard to a shooting. Upon arrival they observed the front door
of the residence open and the victim, Lashonda Myers, lying deceased
from apparent gunshot wounds, in the entryway. The victim’s juvenile
child was located inside the residence.
