Unsolved Homicides
We appreciate witnesses coming forward and providing statements. The Kansas City Missouri Police Department will continue to investigate these and other homicides until the suspects are identified, caught, and the cases are brought to the appropriate prosecutor’s offices. On 12-30-2018 @ 2218 hrs officers were dispatched to 7500 Oakland Ave in regard to a shooting. The victim was found beside a house with multiple gunshots.The victim arrived in a white Ford Explorer and was approached by two unknown suspects. It is unknown who the victim was meeting at the time of his death.

Dinora Ojeda W/F 2/9/1993
On 12-22-2017 at approximately 0843 hours officers were dispatched to 4510
Spruce in regard to a medical nature unknown. At this location the officers
located a silver van with the victim, Dinora Ojeda, deceased inside.

Zachary Pearce W/M 07/16/1993
Occurred: 12/14/2017, 109 E. 40th St. at 2346 hours
On December 14, 2017, the victim and a friend were walking home from
Westport when they were approached by the suspect who pointed a gun at the
victims and demanded their money. They were complying when the suspect (a
black male) fired the gun, killing the victim.
The suspect was with at least one other person and seen fleeing the scene in the
above vehicle. The vehicle is a stolen auto.

Dominic Clarkson B/M 01-09-1997
Occurred: 12/12/2017, 1314 hours at 6921 Blue Parkway
On December 12, 2017 the victim was entering the business when he became
involved in a confrontation with the suspect. The victim was shot and died at the
scene.

Occurred: 12/12/2017, 2346 hours at 5501 South Benton
On December 12, 2017 the victim was leaving his residence when he was
approached by the suspects with guns. They ordered the victim to the ground
then shot him.

Alexxandra Morris Native American Female 02/09/1994
Discovered:: 12/11/2017, 70th and Spruce Ave at 0047 hours
On December 11, 2017 a citizen was driving down the street when they observed
the victim lying on the side of the road. The victim had been shot multiple times.

Lamon Clark Jr B/M 23 YOA
On 11/12/2017 at approximately 1606 hours, officers of the Kansas City Missouri Police Department were dispatched to Research Medical Center located at 2316 E Meyer Boulevard, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri in regard to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered that multiple victims had arrived in a white Dodge Charger. The victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and died shortly after arrival to the hospital. The death is being investigated as a homicide.

At 5 p.m. Nov. 1, 2017, officers responded to 16th and Lister in regard to a shooting. The victim was located in an overturned vehicle deceased from gunshot injuries. Witnesses reported two unknown black males exited the vehicle and fled the scene in another vehicle described as a blue or dark-colored vehicle. Christopher Shaver B/M 12/25/1989
On 10/26/2017 at approximately 1756 hours Officers were dispatched to 2218 E.
69th Terr. in regard to a shooting. At this location the officers located the victim,
Christopher Shaver, in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was
transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. A surviving
victim was transported to and area hospital for treatment of injuries. Suspect
vehicle was described as a black vehicle.

Dajanna Haislip B/F 01/23/1998
On 10/25/2017 at 2154 hours, Officers were dispatched to 45th and Elmwood on a reported
shooting. Upon arrival Officers located Dajanna Haislip lying in the street with an apparent
gunshot wound. Haislip was transported to a local hospital where she later died as a result of
her injuries. Additional victims that were at the scene and uninjured provided information that
there were two black male suspects who were shooting at them, and then fled the scene in
vehicles.
